CDMenu is the program that runs your project. It contains the Button, Browser, and Slide Show Interfaces.
It must be compiled by the WISCO CD Menu Builder program in order to work. So do not just copy it from the \Bin Folder. Be sure that the copy in your project folder was created by building your project (using either selection of building a single file or building a project).
Your project can have CDMenu display a main menu, and other optional elements, depending on how you set up the project.
The Button Interface can have up to twelve buttons, 5 menu choices, and a header containing a logo and text. The logo can be set to go to an Internet URL when clicked. Each button can be assigned a bitmap, caption text, command, and optional parameters.
The Browser Interface can have a button bar with navigation, print, sound, and exit buttons. It may also have a right-click pop-up menu that duplicates many of the button bar buttons. You can launch other programs, help files, visit web sites, play sounds, link to other HTML pages on the CD-ROM, and use any of the internal commands. Bitmap and JPEG graphics can be displayed by the Browser Interface.
The Slide Show Interface can have all the buttons and the pop-up menu used with the Browser Interface. In addition, it will have additional buttons for controlling the displayed graphic HTML pages.
Whichever interface you choose, make the navigation through your project as simple as possible. Most projects can be contained on a single screen, but WISCO CD Menu Builder does make it possible for more complicated projects with clickable links and menus.
Autorun.inf
When any CD-ROM is inserted into a computer, Windows looks for the file autorun.inf. This file includes information of the name of the program to automatically run when the CD is inserted into a CD-ROM drive. This is how CD's start installers and other programs. The autorun.inf also can contain the name of the icon to be displayed by next to the CD-ROM title by Windows Explorer. The WISCO CD Menu Builder program creates and saves the autorun.inf file with the information you provide to your project folder.
