Autorun CD-ROM Menu - Button Commands
This screen is used to assign functionality for up to 12 project buttons used with the button interface. This screen can also be used to assign project commands to 12 graphics on the HTML Browser Interface home page.

Select a button from one to twelve by clicking on the number you want. Once selected, you can set up the button any way you want. Then click the "Accept" button to keep your new settings. The "Clear" button clears all edit boxes for the selected button, so you can start fresh. Letters R, O, and I are displayed next to the edit boxes. The selected action determines if additional information for the edit boxes is (R)equired, (O)ptional, or (I)gnored. If there is No Action assigned to a button, then that button will not be displayed in your finished project.

We use the term Command to include all of the Required and Optional information used by clickable buttons, links, and menu items. Each command can include the action, caption, graphic filename, status bar hint, program name to run, and program parameters.

Action describes in plain English, what should be accomplished when the user clicks the button.

Caption:
The caption is displayed either on the right side of the button or as the button text with the Button Interface (Appearance screen setting). The HTML Browser Interface uses the caption for the middle column of the default template. A caption is required for all commands.

Graphic:
The Button Interface uses bitmap graphics 32x32 pixels or smaller. Additional settings for the button graphics are found on the Appearance screen - button tabbed page. The HTML Browser Interface template can use clickable graphics for the first 12 buttons. HTML Browser Interface JPEG or BMP graphics can be any size. The graphic files must reside in the project folder.

Click the browse button, and find the graphic you want to use. Selecting the file, and clicking the graphic filename will copy the file to the project folder, and also enter the filename in the edit box.

Status Bar Hint:
This text is displayed in the status bar. If the status bar hints are enabled, the hint is displayed when the mouse is over a clickable button or graphic. If the Status Bar Hints check box was not marked on the Appearance screen, this edit box will not be enabled.

Program Name:
This would be the name of the program (like installers, demos, etc.) that should run when the button is clicked. Since the WISCO CD Menu Builder program has no knowledge of what files may be needed by the program you want to run, you are responsible for copying the related files and folder structure to the project folder. If programs or files are in subfolders, you must use relative paths to the program or file (nothing included above the project folder). The filename would be without the root path (for example: subfolder\myfile.exe).

Program Parameters:
This is the filename that will be used by the program or internal project command. For example, to play a sound, the parameter would be the sound filename. To visit a web site, the parameter would be the web URL. Use the browse button to select a file for the parameter. Select the file, and the filename will be copied to the project folder, and will be entered in the edit box. If a sound filename is entered in the edit box, it can be tested by clicking the speaker button.

Button HTML:
If the Use HTML FlyOver Pages check box was marked, each button can have additional information displayed as an HTML file in your project. Click the button to edit the HTML FlyOver page for the selected button. If the HTML page does not exist, it will be created, using any of the template information entered on the Options screen.

Click the "Home Page" button to edit the first page displayed by your project. When the Button Interface is used, the filename of the home page is wiscocd.htm. The HTML Browser interface usually uses the filename index.htm. The Home page is displayed when the mouse is not over a button or clickable graphic.

The Browser Interface uses your information entered for the buttons, and assign properly formatted commands to your clickable graphics using the default WISCO CD Menu browser template.

Browser Buttons:
The HTML and Slide Show Interface can display a browser button bar which can contain up to 6 buttons (Navigation, Print, Sound, and exit).
